    Yellowtail Kingfish

    Yellowtail Kingfish

Here is a little clip of shooting a yellow tail kingfish.

When targeting kingfish on outer islands or pinnacles you tend to only get one or two drifts in before the fish start to cotton-on to what is going on and make for deeper water.

I remember years ago i would zip up to a small island that held good fish, i would then have two or three drifts down the side of the island with the current trying to bag a few of these fish before i would jump into the boat and move to another location doing the same thing there.

After a few hours of doing a few drifts here and there i would once again move back to the first spot with the hope of the fish no-longer being spooked allowing for a better chance of a clean and good holding shot.

    Enjoy:
