The BLU Flap-HT are the latest evolution of a traditional shoe fins with flap terminal. They similarly retained the features that are now it’s the RED Falcon-HT: the new appearance, the corner-foot blade from 29 °, the length of 873mm, the 207mm wide and the water rails constant section 14mm high. For the brand new BLU Flap-HT also changes the lamination which now allows the blades to flex in D.P.C. (Double Parabolic Curve) third generation, now a "must" for all the fins C4 carbon that use carbon "BigSquare" TR50 prepregs.
The BLU Flap-HT blades are made 100% carbon "BigSquare" TR50 prepregs, more durable fiber of 40% compared to the standard, they combine an excellent resistance to an excellent elasticity. The new carbon weaving texture "BigSquare" TR50 prepregs, significantly reduces the number of the overlaps in weaving allowing the drawing up straighter the fibers to the advantage of the effective elastic yield.
As for RED Falcon-HT, even for the BLU Flap-HT inclination from 29 ° it allows the diver from advancing maintaining a hydrodynamic form more "straight" so with a lower front section. This entails a significant reduction in the driving resistance. This is particularly noticeable in the bike upright, during descents and ascents.
The effect is noticeable also in swimming at the surface, but to a lesser extent. The goal of the project, as always for the fins C4, is of increasing efficiency in the "vertical" where we measure the true performance and gets the difference, including security. The foot-blade angle increment produces these effects and not a significant performance improvement in horizontal swimming, as perhaps you might think looking at the relative issues superficially.
I remind you briefly of the diversity of performance and feelings that you have in kicking with RED Falcon-HT rather than with BLUE Flap-HT: the concave end fins (Falcon) during the action "load" before the water, or they charge more in the first section of the alternating stroke of the feet, compared with fins with a convex terminal (Flap). This leads to a feeling of greater "grip" while diver swims with the first (Falcon) which transmits greater feeling of security, while the second (Flap) allow faster but have less "taken initial". We recommend the BLUE Flap-HT who is an expert user that knows how to appreciate and make considered use. There is not a contraindication for a less experienced user, only he will take more time to adapt and exploit them fully.
The shape of the graft BLUE Flap-HT are compatible with many popular traditional diving booties.
The BLUE Flap-HT blades measure 890 x 207 mm, the angle of the blades is 29 °.
The BLUE Flap-HT blades are produced in the usual three degrees of stiffness, 25, 30 and 40.
